The Trustees are currently developing the charity from a volunteer-based information service to a professionally managed service for the benefit of patients, families and carers. As part of this Development Plan they are seeking to employ a Development Director.
The Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (UK) Limited aims to provide support to persons affected by Glycogen Storage Disease (GSD) and their families throughout the UK.
The newly created role will take much of the responsibility for developing the charity by managing current and future staff and by improving our public persona. Work is needed to improve and develop our volunteer networks, our publications and leaflets and our fundraising activities (a freelance fund raising consultant is appointed).
You will have a sound track-record at a project management level or proven ability to operate at this level. Experience of working with small national charities together with some understanding of the challenges of supporting rare diseases would also be an advantage.
To apply, please download the application pack using the link below. This includes the job description, person description and an application form. You should forward the completed form and a covering letter stating your preferred geographical area by Monday 15 November 2010 to email@example.com.
