Conversion to new legal format

Members have agreed to convert the charity to a new legal entity which will make it easier to manage and develop the charity and will limit the liability of members. All members have automatically been made members of the new company/charity. The Trustees made a proposal to this effect at the AGM on 26th September - see proposal document and AGM notices below.

The following proposal was passed unanimously:

“That in the effective pursuit of the objectives of the charity, the present unincorporated charity be dissolved in accordance with Paragraph 13 of the Constitution and that the remaining assets be transferred to the company ‘Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (UK) Limited’ which has been incorporated and registered as a charity for the purpose by the Trustees of the present unincorporated charity.”

The transfer will take a few months to complete and then the original unincorporated charity will be dissolved and removed from the register of charities.
