AGSD-UK Annual Conference,
28-29 October 2017.
The "Winter Warm-up Walk for AGSD" is a simple way of taking part in a healthy activity as well as helping a worthwhile cause at the same time.
Just gather together a group of family and friends, the more the merrier, and undertake your own sponsored walk in your local area.
You decide the route!
The walk can be as long or as short as you wish – it is entirely up to you. Maybe just a stroll around the block where you live, or a more challenging distance out in the beautiful countryside – you decide. It can be just your own family including the kids or maybe gather together your neighbours and friends.
AGSD-UK has approximately 500 people on its database and if everyone gets involved and arranges a walk raising £50 then we would be able to raise an enormous £25,000 to help the vital work of our favourite charity.
Burn off some calories!
Maybe you are not up to a walk yourself but you can still rally others to do it on your behalf. Why not organise your walk to take place over the Christmas and New Year period, traditionally a time when most of us over-indulge. Here is a great excuse to get everyone out into the fresh air and doing a bit of exercise and why not arrange a steaming hot mug of soup or a hot chocolate to celebrate at the end of your walk.
You choose the date!
There is no entry fee for this event. Just contact us and we will then send you a supply of sponsor forms to distribute to your participants. Then just decide when and where you are going to hold your WWW and off you go!
Please get your walkers to raise as much sponsor money as possible and if every walk raises at least £50 (there is no minimum) we will be well on our way to reaching our £25,000 target. Perhaps you could get your employers to get behind your walk and supporting our charity as well.
