Angela is running the London Marathon for AGSD-UK

Angela Regazzoni has been awarded AGSD-UK's Silver Bond place in this year's London Marathon.

Angela says:

I'm running the London Marathon for my gorgeous god-daughter, Sophie, who has the rare liver disorder GSD Type 1a.

For those of you who don’t know, this means she sadly runs out of energy every couple of hours, which can result in dangerous low blood sugar seizures, stunted growth and liver damage. Treatment involves constant carbs to keep going (a girl after my own heart!) and an overnight feeding tube, which she’ll probably need for life.

This rare condition has little funding, but what research is happening looks very positive for the future. Anything we can raise will have a direct impact on the quality of Sophie’s life, so please dig deep for our feisty little lady.

Sophie never gives up and fingers crossed, neither will I!
